MDF Question

Sparks mean its working!
I'm looking to build a box for a Standard Cab s10. Is it a bad idea to use 1/2" MDF for the back plate if I use 3/4" for the rest of the box?? Doing so would give me a little extra clearance for the magnet on the subwoofer. I don't think strength should be much of an issue, as I'll put in bracing and probably use a double-front plate.

Thanks for the help,

Aaron

Yeah, for some reason, the BTL has a shallower mounting depth than the Q. I'm going for an SQ setup. I'd grab the BTL for its sheer badassedness (I'm making that a word:D ) I just don't have the cash or the power (only 1000w on tap).

Anyone know where I can get 4 memphis m-class 10s or 12s for cheap???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yeah, the BTL looks amazering (I'm making that a word too). I just don't have the cash and my Orion amp wouldn't do it justice. Besides, I'll already be running 2 other amps and I don't want to upgrade my electrical system just yet if I don't have to.
