Back on topic please. Is there a tutorial on setting gains, crossover and EQ functions on my Alpine 7998 Deck and Macintosh amp? None of the manuals were included.

Go to the main forum. Check the amplifiers theread. Then check the sticky for Gain Setting Tutorial or use the search button.

Shouldn’t you be out blowing up more subs? Seriously, you must spend a fortune on recones. If you learn how to properly use the equipment you won’t be causing thermal or mechanical damage to your drivers.

What? Let's see....my last driver had a dead coil (manuf. defect). Driver before that had weak tinsel leads (actually two of em) Proto TC sub and Brahma. (It was a proto for a reason and everyone knows the issue with the brahmas). So your point is?
