McIntosh tuning assistance.

Last night, after pounding Ronnie Milsap's greatest hits album, I have realized that the system hits about as hard as a prepaid Cricket cell phone ring-tone. I thought you guys said that Macintosh was good? I looked at the dials on the amp and they are all turned all the way down. I checked the eq on the deck and none of the bar things have been moved and is set to flat.

Do I need to set the xover? What do I do to adjust this thing?
