got a few questions on what some of the adjustments are. i know what the phase, sub sonic, low-pass filter, and gain. i have never seen "level" 6v-.2v, "bass eq" 0db-9db. what do they do? my guess would be that the "bass eq" would be the bass boost but i have non clue on what the "level" adjustment is.

also do u set the level like a gain or do u set it to the head unit v out thingy.
Both, it's the same thing. Setting the gain with a dmm is still just matching your amp to your HU's pre-out voltage. It's much more precise to do it with a DMM than to look at the knob and say "Oh yeah I think this is about 4v"

Yep, no prob.

The only thing I don't like about that tutorial is that is tells you to set your HU volume at 3/4. Don't do that. You obviously have a feel for what volume you usually go to as your max. Like for instance on my current Pioneer HU, I rarely turn it past 55 (speakers start distorting after that). So figure out whatever your max volume is for your HU and set your gain with it at that. Then when your driving around bumping, the max volume you can go to on your HU is what you decided your max was.
