I am going to purchase a set of speakers this week. I need help on which set of comps i should get i will also need a set of coxials. I mostly listen to hip hop/rap, and oldies. I will be pushing these comps and a set of coxials with a ppi pc 4400.2. I am also putting in a 10in w7 with this set up this is going to be in a acura integra hatchback. i am deciding on either the qsd or the s600 hex. they will both cost me the same price at this website

*Looks at sig*...

+1 for the MB's- great quality in my opinion. I think the QSF Nano's are the newest models but I'm not 100% sure.

The MB quarts are nice speakers but have a very harsh tweeter that i have trouble listning to at loud volumes. Depending on if you like harsh or smooth sound if you get the Hex get them w/ silk tweeters if you like it mellow.

They're only harsh if you want em to be. I have MBQ comps and they're very smooth and tame...

+1 for the QSD's/

Well, they both have great power handling--150 and 170 rms respectively. I've heard the QSDs and thought they were some of the best comps I've ever heard. However these were in a very expensive setup. If your system is of decent quality you would NOT be disappointed.

However, I've never heard those Diamond comps. So I really can't say which set would sound better. One thing to think about is where are you mounting these?? If you're going to be putting them in the doors then I would check the off axis response for both sets.

When it comes to titamium tweeters you're either going to like them or NOT like them. With enough processing power you can tame them to sound nice. Not to mention they'll get loud without a problem where as a silk tweet can fail at high volumes. I've been sporting titanium tweets in my home system for more than 15 years now and they're the most laid back tweeters I've ever heard. In fact, most don't believe they're titanium.
