The question is, why was it overheating?lol, I doubt it. I've never seen my voltage drop below 13.8. From what I can tell, it overheated AGAIN and this time finally killed itself.
hot Texas day i guess //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifThe question is, why was it overheating?
I don't think anything of theirs is German made anymore, except maybe their high end component sets.i know maxxsonics owns MB Quart now but is everything still german made...or is that a very stupid question?...LOL!

I bought it from Woofersetc, Maxsonnics says they won't do anything. I'll probably try to send it to Woofers and get a different amp. I considered putting MDF under the amp, but I would just end up pushing the top of the amp into the under side of the seat.did you buy it from an authorized dealer and have a receipt? if you did and its under warranty call em up they will take care of it.I have never had 1 overheat even on a 80+ day, but under the seat of a wrangler is a terrible spot, lots of heat there from exhaust and whatnot, and no air flow. I found that under a seat, that if you mount the amp on a 1/4 inch mdf riser just at the edges of the amp, it will eliminate most heat issues.
I've been using a strip of 3/4" MDF on the two long sides of my amps, as well as a couple of cooling fans on each one, and it seems to work well. I've never had any issues with amps going into protect before using this method, but my amps are very hot in the summer time when they're not even on, let alone playing for an extanded period of time. I guess it just makes me feel better. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifI found that under a seat, that if you mount the amp on a 1/4 inch mdf riser just at the edges of the amp, it will eliminate most heat issues.
I am not sure even their upper end components are german made. Maybe someone else knows for sure but I believe they are made in the far east.I don't think anything of theirs is German made anymore, except maybe their high end component sets.
