MB Quart Amps

i got bored and wanted to take a pic of the beast

the flash makes the second one hard to see sorta, but the 1 2 on the right are the two speaker outputs that are both 2ohm, hate it or love, i dont really have much feeling about it. there's plug in terminals for the wires like RF that aren't in the pic if youre confused on the way it looks

This is amp is pretty good for the money.

I am using this to bump the 13.5 w7, it really pushes the speaker pretty well comparing to the MTX 1501d.

I think its very good amp for the money. I will be testing it on the XXX 15" in about 2 weeks, see if can give it some power to get it moving. The voltage gets pretty low then it cuts out which is a nice feature that I like.

Even though I have a 220amp alternator it still cuts off at idle. I need a cap and running 0 guage stinger wiring kit with a 250amp fuse and stock battery.

I will post another review soon. I will be also upgrading to another DECK the Kenwood Ex model..my old one was not that good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

if it can push the 13.5 it should be able to push any woofers... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Got these pups RAA1000 and RAA4200 sitting around until I get my new car. Anyway, I tested the RAA1000 on my buddies L7's, and man: they kicked a$$!

It put his 1400wrms 1ohm MA Audio to shame. We pumped Bass Mechanik, Tupac, and the radio until it was dark. We shook the neighborhood and bats started flying above us. Guess they didn't like the vibrations.

He bought a new amp shortly after that.

Only problem we had was that one of the gold plated screws was missing. I would think that they would include all the parts. Maybe the manufacturer tested it and forgot to put it in. Had to take one out of my RAA4200 packaging. Crutchfield said that they would send me one if the Company didn't. No problem though. Installers will have this part in the bin.

The first time I saw the Rockford Corporation, I said "What the???" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

I'd have to say that I'm happy with my purchases. Got two amps and two tens for about a grand.

Aside from posting one of the worst run-on sentences I have ever read, I will let you off easy by challenging you to PROVE what you're saying bro.."MBQ amps are just Rockford amps" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

i dont know this as a "fact" but i know they share some technology but at the same time pretty different so im told. i havent gutted an rf amp since 2000 lol

I have the RAA1000 bought from Crutchfield. Do you think its too much for 2 IDQ12's? Ill be running them at 1ohm. I think rms on them is 350 with peak of 700. Thanks
Well the IDQ's are probably well built drivers that can handle the power...but it does seem like overkill eventhough the raa1000 will put out some pretty clean power with the gains set way down. Keep in mind that distortion, not power kills speakers!! Make sure you don't clip the signal and you can run as much power as your heart desires //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Right, that's like saying that Jaguars are just Fords...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

^^ uh...in this case which is the jag and which is the ford? RF has amps that are worse and better than these MBQ's imho. and last i checked distortion didn't kill speakers. yes clipping does, but that's not really distortion per se.

anyway, kudos for using the search function
