Can you solve it?
So I'm thinking about a little experiement. I'm wondering if this has ever been attempted and if the results were any good. I am thinking about building a conch shell like box and squeezing as many subs throughout the box as possible (maybe 6's just for testing). Now this box wouldn't be used for car applications so much...just due to how I'm going to have to mount the subs. Anyways my thought is to have the subs amplified off in pairs and to adjust the timings so that the subs furthest inside the box would fire off just before the next pair and so on and so on.
Does this just sound like a bunch of jibberish? Or do you think it would be possible to calculate out subs to make them almost "push" the sound waves along and to ever increase the energy until the opening of the box. See I was thinking the start of the box would be very tight and as the subs keep moving we would end up with a large opening (say 4-6 times larger than the original space) I'm thinking of using maybe 10-12 little guys on this. I'm sure it would be a complex box design but I"m thinking I can find someone to put together the dimensions and I just so happen to have a very top-of-the line woodshop at my disposal
thanks for the input, thoughts, your crazy's, whatever it may be //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
