maybe a dumb question about ohms

whats the diff or advantage of driving subs at 4ohms rather than 1ohm?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
amplifiers generally have a higher damping factor at higher impedances. higher damping factor = more control over the movement of the cone = better sound quality... however, you won't get as much power out of your amp running it at 4ohms vs 1 ohm...
