Maximum Safe Gain

Currently my amp gain is around 1-2 o clock and my speakers still sound good without clipping. Which is the maximum gain I should safely go? Havent tried higher yet because I listened enough for today to the 1000hz tone. Also tested with music too and no clipping/distortion.

Nobody can answer this question for sure without being there. Buy a cheap scope ( less than $40 )and answer it for yourself. Also, when you use the scope, disconnect the speakers.

Cant use the scope because the amp is plug and play. Can only set it up by ear. Will I hurt the speakers by playing a 1000hz tone at 75% volume while setting the gain?
