I've done a search here and i would really like those who actually have the L7 15 to respond please

I just purchased 2 L7 15's. (04 model) I'm starting a new project for 2006. I would like to know what is the max power they will take for daily. I would personally put a brutus 2000 on each one... ( or maybe there 1800 watt amp)

Also give me some ideas of a nice tune freq... should I leave it @ kicker spec'd 38hz??? 40??? lower? Thanks guys I appreciate any/all repsonses

**edit** I am aware of there power handling ability.. I know max is 2k but these subs are waay underrated and I know they can take more than 1k watts rms daily...

what ever happened to building a box to utilize a given amount of power to make the subs perform there best? what kind of music you listen too? i would suggest giving each 2000 watts rms. just give them there 1000 watts rms and make a good box and install

and who said that would'nt be the case.... I just know that they're underrated for newbs who don't have volume control... I'm no newb, plus this will be a fairly extreme project so I want to get * the most * out of the subs when I need it...

Subs and wattage is like horse power, nice to have when you need it... But the horsepower is not in use ALL then time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Any more suggestions? comments?

kicker makes good subs but 2000 watts rms is a bit overkill. no sub will be able to handle abuse. if you build a good enclosure you can get the most out of it at 1000 watts rms. agan what kind of music do you listen too? i assume you want spl so tuned between 35-39 hz. i suggest you pm polecat since he is the kicker guru on this forum //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well I was/am thinking about either a bx 1800d or bx2000d.... all are overrated and will probably do about15-1600 watts...

Also for each *pair* (going with 6 15's) I've considered a viper on each set... (about 1200 watts give or take)

**edit** also considering a pa 2400d per sub (I've read they do about 1600 also)
