Matching Brands

Do people generally use the same brand for most of there audio products if they will be visible. If i am going to have 2 amps and a sub mounted in plan sight to anyone checking out my system, Should I get all the same brand of stuff so it looks right(matches) or am I just being retarded. So far I only have one amp for my comps, but I am debating about changing it before I decided on my sub and sub amp.

If your talking about matching an amp with amp or sub with sub then yes it would look cleaner with matching equip. but if its to matcha sub w/ amp or vice versa, i wouldnt worry bout it. Some companies make better subs then amps and vice versa

ok, cool.

I have a kicker amp (kx 650.4) that I was gonna install to run my comps, and now I am looking for a mono amp to run a subwoofer and was not sure if I should get the same brand or not.

it will probably all end up matching. I am pretty set on getting a 10" L7 solo-baric and putting it in a 1 ft^3 sealed box. I know it will not hit near as hard with a sealed box, but I would like to save as much space in my trunk as possible. And if I can figure out how to do it, I am gonna use some of the tips from the fiberglassing section to make a double decker fiberglass stand for the amps to help save even more space.

lol look at my amps.....but i got one amp mounted on the back of my seat and one amp on the floor...now whos gonna see my amps....

I was going to put atleast one of them under the set but the floor in my car is uneven and would not give the amp a stable mount.
