true rms rating on amp should be no more than 25% more or less than rms on the sub.

You should make sure the final impedance of your drivers is within the specified operating range of the amp. For example, a dual 2 ohm sub wired in parallel for a final load of 1 ohm, connected to a 1 ohm stable amp is fine. That same sub wired in parallel with an amp that is only 2 ohm stable might give you, your amp, or both of you problems. Also, like previously stated, you should keep your amp's power rating similar to the power rating of your woofer.

make sure you match the subs right or you screw your self dual 2s can be wired to 1ohm or 4 ohm, dual 4s 2ohm or 8ohm dual 1s 2ohm or .5 ohm
