I was trying to fix the whine and it just made it seem worse, I changed the terminals to gold on the amp grounds, still no luck, that was the only non gold terminal I had left, everything connection uses gold, fuses are gold ect. the ground area is the chassis sanded off all the paint for my ground spot so that is out. I tried the "Ground RCAs" I had some trouble but getting it, but It didn't seem to do much work.
The whine sometimes goes away completely at one point even, but it comes back and can either get worse or better.
I wanted to try this, I am using a after market HU (One of the decent alpine ones)but don't know how maybe some better explanation?
"Proper head unit ground
This is perhaps the most common source of engine noise. Many times factory head unit grounds are poor. Relocating the ground wire or adding to the existing one will help reduce or eliminate ground loops."
Here is a video of how bad the noise it taken with my phone, video isn't very important you can just ignore it. This is WITH a noise reducing addon. Ignition is in the On position but the vehicle is not running.
Ok one thing I forgot I might mention, I can plug 1 set of RCAs into any slot on my HU it still makes this noise, even I plug my speaker RCAs into the sub outlet.
