Massive Audio SUMMO 64 OR SUMMO 84.

I cleaned house of all my spare subs. looking to start fresh. Have all massive audio equipment in the car and would like to stay with massive for subs as well. i will be doing a ported enclosure biult to massives specs. trying to decide if i want to run 4 Summo 6.5's or 2 Summo 8's.

the 6.5;s are single 4 ohm coils rated 150 rms 300 peak. The 8's are dual 4ohm coils and rated 300rms 600 peak. will be run on a massive n3 monoblock . looking for combo of sound quality with a little bit of output. will be in a open interior of a station wagon.

4 ohms: 450 watts x 1 chan.

2 ohms: 700 watts x 1 chan.

1 ohm: 1400 watts x 1 chan

I was pleased with the hippo 84s, and they would match up to your amp fairly well.

they were a thought on the back burner. was kinda wanting to wait to see if price drops a bit in the future on the hippo xl84's before popping on set of hippo's .

i am usually run single 12's. so going for something like an 8 or 6.5 is a new adventure. seem to be alot of youtube vids of summo 6.5,8's and hippo 8's getting down pretty hard and alot of strong reveiws for all 3

Agree...sortof. Currently running a Massive amp and very disappointed with it. Being replaced with a MUCH better amp. A few of their subs tho, have heard good things about.
