massive audio dmx series 1 subs NEEDING AMP

I have been out of car audio and 12v since 2005. But have recently decided to build a system again.

I have 2 old series 1 Massive Audio DMX 12's. These are large and not verry effecient but back in the day when I pulled them they were LOUD and sounded good. That was the only reason I held on to them all these years. I also have 2 old school shocker audio 12's that were a competition sub assembeled in Ohio, but the VC's are trashed and I dont think the guy that built these is still around.

I have held on to a few old amp I have used over the years, a massive p3000.1 amp and a directed audio d1000 and a alpine MRV1000, US amp vLx 25. I think all of these were Class D's excempt the US amp but I think the p3000.1 was the only one that was one ohm stable.

I know that these AMPS are dinosaurs compared to stuff thats out today. So what I am looking for is some input on either using one of the amps I have or upgrading to something new that is more effecient.

I have a 500 -700 dollar price range for a good amp, where should I be looking and what brands are the big players now?

Thanks for the help.

Any help?

Needing as much bang for buck on 500 -700$$. My subs will handle it till they pop, then ill get better.

Electrical is car is not issue. Alt is HO 250 amp. I currently have 4 ga, but I have some 0 stinger from back in the day I can run.

I was reading thread on AQ 3500 any other Ideas?

Also, I was informed that the Shocker guy "Shocker Mike" is still around, I had been told by a local audio shop he was not building speakers anymore so I was misinfomed. So I may get my sigs re coned some day or try to get some NEOS!

Fixmyspeaker.com or SPLaudio on here can probably recone those shockers for you. From what I remember that massive amp is a decent amp too. So you have a pretty good start on a nice system. Id get the shockers reconed and run the massive amp and see how that does. Use your budget for speaker upgrades and deadening or batts to help your electrical.
