Item(s) Description/Condition:

Excellent condition.

Quad 1 ohm 3" coil.

Massive says 1500 but will easily take 2500wrms daily and 6krms for burps.

1 Voicecoil push terminal is missing. the bottom part is still bolted on so you can either find a new cap our just use a ring terminal and have it bolted on. Works 100% otherwise.

Full carbon cone, ~65lb. Beast of a sub, just too heavy and box would be too big for my car.

Price:

$300 obo. Haven't seen many for sale so the OBO is pretty flexible.

Ideally id like to trade for a pair of 8's + cash or just straight trade for the right ones.

Shipping and Miscellaneous Item Information:

Subwoofer will be split and shipped in 2 boxes (1 for motor. 1 for top assy) to avoid crazy shipping costs and to avoid the chance of anything getting damaged as the the motor/basket come apart with 6 or 8 bolts for easy re-cones etc.

Straight sale shipping is on you. If it's a trade we pay our own shipping.

As far as feedback goes, i have well over 100+ positive feedbacks with 0 negative feedbacks since i have been buying/selling/trading on the forums over the past 7-8 years. Some jerkoff didn't like my comment on his for sale thread and decided to give me a negative feedback when i NEVER DID BUSINESS WITH HIM. It has been reported and when it first happened i contacted denim and whitedragon and they said only goob can change it and we all know how that goes, so please ignore the negative. i have many positive references on here also which are linked below. Wow, I didn't know massive ever made stuff like this! Carbon cone, quad voice coil, and a QCA so it can be taken apart into two pieces?

These originally came out mid-2000's i beleive. snoopdan hit 150.2 or 152.0 on 1 15 off 3000wrms back in the day. It's more like the Kicker SOLO-X than the TC QCA.

Has 10-12 small screws holding the plastic mounting ring to the top of the frame, then the cone comes out, and there are 6 bolts for the frame to the motor.

massive audio re-release them late 2000's with a non-carbon fiber cone but they kind of flopped at the price they were being retailed at. The new Massive Audio Hippo 15 or whatever the new higher end sub they are making is the newer version of this.

I have been trying to sell it here and there but no solid bites. Most people want a pair.

I've never been a Massive fan by any means, but these I've always liked. I too have no room for large heavy woofer or I would've kept my HCCA 12's. Great woofer IMO and glws someone will be very happy i'm sure

When i get home i will get pics of the ohm readings on the multimeter and split it and take pics of the coil for you. From the 2 i have/had and a couple pics i have seen of other dmx coils they always seemed to be a little dark even brand new. Not sure if there is some kind of coating on the coils.

edit - Also shipping for the motor is going to be at least $45-$50 unless i can safely squeeze it into a large flat rate box, and the basket/soft parts will be around $20.

So here is something interesting.

Both coils 1 and 3 gave me readins of 7.7-7.9 ohms and both coils 2 and 4 gave me 1.9-2.0 ohms. I figured it was my harbor freight multimeter.

So i took it apart and it appears the previous owner i guess had it hooked up wrong and heated up the coil to lead joint and burnt it but all the other coils were fine. And it still read ohms so im guessing it is still good?
