any one know how the dmx's compare to the cw's ??

the dmx is the competition series, higher power handling, etc

Yeah, I've been kind of interested in them for awhile, I just didn't know how their SQ was.

for an SPL sub, the sq is very good imo. it doesnt have a "sloppy" sound at all to me, has a tight punch to it
