Marbel on a box?

By you saying it's not that hard, I'm going to assume you've never cut through stone ever. I say that because you can't just "rent" a wet stone cutting saw/grinding wheel, they are extremely expensive, let alone even more difficult to polish to a flawless finish.

Like I said.

I had my marble cut on a 20' wide 6" concrete topped X/Y translation table with water cooled 24" diamond tipped blade and water / glycol cooled. I was covered in super fine marble mud when I was finished with it. Cutting marble aint no joke //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

cutting angles is even MORE fun //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

haven't cut marble but i cut masonry brick to lay for my pool deck ill just take your word that it's hard

Not to mention Marble is friggin expensive. If you made a wrong cut it very well could make baby jesus cry.
But if you want granite and you have friends that own a granite countertop shop and have scrap out the *** it wouldn't matter a bit how much you screw up... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

Snoopdan was wondering though why did you put the marble in the box?
Marble is naturally a very dense and its properties are basically acoustically reflective, as it does not absorb sound waves very well (as you might of probably notice if you've ever yelled in a marble hallway). The purpose of its use in this application was to funnel as much energy thru the horn as possible vs. absorbtion thru the MDF outter shell. Additionally, since the surface of the marble is glasspeened when produced, its a super smooth laminar air flow surface for the air to glide over when moving thru to the horns' port mouth. This reduced the need for resining 3/4 of the enclosure. I also needed to have a box that fit below the window line in my jeep and overall be small in size (4.5 cubes total) but still have enough space for an 18" and its basket.
