How many of you have been electrocuted through 120v in your house, or even 12v in your car? Standing up afterwards sucks to do...imagine 50,000 volts. The whole point of the taser is to stop people from getting up.
The cop should rot in jail for the rest of his life.

Well you can't even feel less than ~30-40 volts, getting shocked by 12v in your car is like being shocked by a AA battery...

*******, as an EE, I ****ing hate this argument more than you can imagine. Yes, 50k volts by itself means nothing, BUT, even with a few milliamps of current, it will be quite deadly. So please stop using this bullshit argument, because the lethality relies entirely upon the electromotive force as much as it does the current. Without either, nothing.

Without the voltage, it wouldn't even work. The higher the voltage, the more power is able to go through you, whether its the volts that hurt or not. Which is again the reason a 12v car battery capable of sending 1000 amps through you won't do a thing, but a little shock toy with no more than a few amps going through you can shock you.
