Making or Buying Box For HDC315-A

Ok I just ordered a AQ HDC315-A and I plan on either making a box for it or paying for it to be made if the price is right.

The box needs to be 4 net cubic feet @ 38hz.

Dimensions need to be be 17x37x17 (standard rectangle box)

I either need a digital sketch of all angles and measurements of the box plan or the box to be made for me. I'm not sure if i will need to pay a few box for a plan like this or not. Or if someone wants to build it for me for a fair price I'll do that.

EDIT: new dimensions further down in the thread. it needs to be more like 16hx16.5d (sub wall) x 40w

do a box 17x37x17 with an 8.5" sono tube 19.885 (or so) inches long.

whats my subs volume i know its somewhere from .15-.25

and think it would be ok if i used 2x 4" aero ports instead of the sono tube? u gotta do some work to the sono tube to make it look like an aero port and i rly dont feel lke doing that.

and btw if 2 4" aero ports is enough how long should they be? and i wont have am issue with port noise will i?

Hey I just got your PM. Is this going in a trunk, how do you plan on aranging it? ex, sub back port back, or walled from the trunk, firing into the cab? I have the box started with the dementions, just lmk what you have in mind.

its actually in a truck and i made some changes in dimensions.

15.5x35.5x14.75=8116.1875

8116.1875=4.7cu/ft

4.7-.3=4.4cu/ft w/ wood and sub disp. considering it has a 1.5" baffle

well here's what i got up my sleeve.

40wx16hx16.5d

40 x 16.5 (3x, top, second baffle, and bottom)

40 x 13.75 (2x, front and back)

15 x 13.75 (2x, sides)

(recess sides by 1")

3x 4" aero ports 16" long

total airspace = 3.85 net cubic feet (i think) @ 37hz

id like to get it at 4 even cubes though. but i need to keep my depth and height under 17 because its in an ext cab dakota and i need seat room

sub will be firing upward.

Ok, I redesigned the box with the new dementions (40wx16hx16.5d) and heres what it comes out to:

15.75x13.75x38.5=8337.65625

8337.65625=4.825

4.825-.3=4.525cu/ft with wood and sub displacement considering it has a 1.5" baffle. No port displacement was counted for.

so you have over 4 cubes
