I'm thinking of trying fiberglass on my own as a side project to help fill this space in so only the port is showing into the cab.
I was wondering would this help seal it up and make it a bit louder? My 2 AQ HDC3's are already pretty loud, but the bass sounds "lossy" like the trunk space is causing me to lose db.
Also, how would I go about fiber glassing an empty space so it fits with the rear deck, and around the edges; so it's flush per say, or locks into place. As you can see on the picture the red lines indicate where the fiberglass would sit, and somehow I would need a hole for the box, maybe run the fiberglass into the hole a bit and extend it too make the port a bit longer? So essentially the fiberglass will cover the empty space around the box, sealing the trunk, and covering the box as well as attaching to the port somehow.
Let me know if pictures are needed.
Any suggestions, and help is appreciated.
