Hey guys,
Seems I've been reading and searching so long that I forgot I had the option to actually post a thread to ask for help, lol.
Anyway, I was just given 2 Kicker 10c124's and a Pioneer GM-5500T 2 Channel Amp for FREE!!. I know it's nothing much but hey, free is free, right?
The current enclosure is a sealed box and each chamber is 1.25 cubic feet. Since I primarily listen to Rap and Hip Hop I would like to build a vented enclosure with a net volume of 2.25 cubic foot per chamber tuned to 35hz. My hope is that by building a box this size that I'll be open to future upgrades down the road.
I've got a 2001 Intrepid R/T with a HUGE Trunk. The box can be 36" Wide, 36" Deep and 18" Tall so I've got room to work. My first thought was to build 2 of these back to back but I doubt that would sound good firing into the side panel of my trunk. I guess I could up fire them but I would rather the port be facing the rear of my trunk.
This will be my First sub woofer enclosure. I like working with wood and I build Aquarium stands and cabinets so I'm no stranger to carpentry. I'm not sure why it has taken me so long to jump into the Woofer Enclosure realm but better late than never.
I'm just looking for advice and possibly a cut list, I think with a cut list I can assemble it properly Maybe some of you have skills in Google Sketchup and can show me a diagram. I know I'm asking a lot so thanks in advance!!
