alright guys. i was thinking of improving my front stage a bit. ive always wanted to run pro audio mids, but dont have the room on my doors do go custom and i dont have extra amps to run the mids active, and add tweets on another amp. so, i was thinking, can i use pro audio mids (4 ohm) and find some crossovers, and some tweets, and put something together that will work together on my amp? i have some tweets in mind, but was more curious about the crossovers. btw, i have 150x2 @4 on tap for the front, and was looking at these for the mids.

FX-6M4 - Flash Series - Cadence Acoustics, LTD

thanks for the help

im assuming just buy a set of mids, a proper crossover, and some good tweets. you just want a crossover that allows the mid to play the frequencies youd like. im thinking a good set of tweets, along with a crossover crossed at 3500hz, would yield fairly good results. just not sure where to get the crossovers

Im really interested in this same thread... I know it can be done, the crossover just has to be compatible with the equipment... But I have no idea how you link everything together.
Amp --> X-over --> Mid & Tweet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Or run active and have adjustments available.

Depends on the drivers. X-over points range from 2k-4k for many common drivers.

Hahahahaha, I didnt mean like that. I meant I dont know how you find a compatible crossover with the mid. Lol. But thanks for the diagram!

Just snatch a Memphis XO3 or something similar. External electronic crossover that is active-ready. Then you have adjustable X-overs and can run active. It has LowPass, BandPass, and HighPass. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
