im currently making a box and i was wondering what tuning will 17in's in depth give me and making that L part of the port how far do you determine it to go. i want about 32hz in tuning. my demisions are 38Wx22Dx16H

did you bother to read the how to design a ported box tutorial?

The port-area (area of the port opening) has alot to do with the tuning as well, as with depth...but, I would head to reaudio.com and try the calculator there..it's pretty straight-forward and will give you the info you need

alright thanks for the site man. anyways um will it matter if i dont have my square port 2?. cause with having 4.5 width for the port i get 32hz just wondering if not having that will affect it or not.
