i might get it. just need some opinions. when it doesnt say mp3 compatible does that mean i cant add songs to my cd that end in .mp3 or what?

My opinion is that it is a piece of junk. No, I do not have direct experience with that specific unit but I have seen more than a few Majestic-branded HUs (usually in semi trucks ~ they seem to sell well at truck stops alongside Boss audio gear) and all of them were pretty much crap. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Rather than spend $130 on something that won't last why not spend it on something that will? I understand your frustration while having issues with your current deck but replacing it with something that isn't a decent piece of equipment will only aggravate you worse when it quits.

Here's a link of all the .mp3-compatible decks on Crutchfield under $150. Of those listed I'd have to go with the Alpine 9846 or the Pioneer 3800. (The odds of these lasting longer than 1/2 a year are considerably better than any Majestic product)

Or, if nothing there suits you keep looking through our Classifieds and elsewhere....watch the listings on eBay, etc etc...

Maybe just deal with what you've got 'til you've saved a bit more to be able to afford something really nice, perhaps?
