Magic Smoke from SAZ-3KD

im very sad right now.

i turned my car on and, i heard some strange noise coming from the trunk. i open it up, and my sub is completely bottomed out, making some voice sound, and my amp was smoking.

i haven't touched this think in over 3 months, anyone know whats wrong?

how much is it to repair an SAZ-3KD?

if you go through most services like db-r your looking ~ 200-250 to fix.

the sub is fine.

i would contact sundown, but this just happened.

One side of the output rail died, and is applying DC straight from the amp's power supply to your sub, which means regardless of what you have your gain set on, it is giving it as much power as it can. Don't turn it back on with the sub attached, unless you want to cook your sub.

maybe someone played with your system while u were away?. always the case for me when i leave something untouched and when i get down to fiddling with it, it dies.
