rl p is the only thing in the last worth considering for mag/w7 type sq.....the sx shouldn't even be a distant thoughtorion h2, ss rl-i/rl-p, re sx
i had a Phoenix Gold Titanium Elite, and a 12W7.Also pls keep in mind what exactly I'm looking for, something with the same output and sq range as w7 and mags but cheaper(without getting more than one sub). I guess the point of this thread is to see if there are "lesser known" sub companies that offer something similar that would be cheaper, for examples I already know about re's and si's, but not too familiar with DD's, arc audio, etc. Thanks for the replies so far though
Yeah I'm thinking to go around 1000 watts, absolutely not over 1500, hopefully I won't have to do any electrical upgradesi had a Phoenix Gold Titanium Elite, and a 12W7.
PG was louder than the W7....but it needed more power to do so.
it also sounded just as good, if not better.
the only downfall is its inefficiency
meh you need 1500ish to get the PG in the sweet spot.Yeah I'm thinking to go around 1000 watts, absolutely not over 1500, hopefully I won't have to do any electrical upgrades
Yeah that's what I figured..just looked up the flatline, looks interesting(the whole flat concept lol) how much are these new?meh you need 1500ish to get the PG in the sweet spot.
good shit about the discount but that does me no good lol, how much are they regularly? I guess a more specific restraint of what I'm lookin for is something cheaper than a mag (450) since that's cheaper then a w7 already. I searched about the jbl subs, sounds nice just wondering about priceok the answer is JBL wGTi woofers. should be cheaper than the w7 and almost same sq/output. they are also optimized for small sealed or ported boxes. im thinking about getting one myself since i get a discount. i hear they are a close second in sq to adire brahma. more info at http://carsound.com/articles/publish/article_892.shtml
anybody know about these?Go for Audioque's HD3 Woofer. It is almost identical to the DD Subs, its in between a 3500 series and 9100 series, but a lot cheaper.
