You really think going from 2.0 to something like 2.5 would make a large difference? oh and by the way.. i did use the calculator, the original version, at accelerator-pedal.com to make the one i have now. I manually calculated the area after port and sub displacement and it was just fine. And there is absoultely no port noise whatsoever. so i'm not sure what the bashers were exactly talking about....

I'm probably just expecting way too much, what i think is good, and what people like you guys or whoever think is good are too different things.

That mag should be impressing you with the right power given to it. What kind of power are you running to it? Do you have a good electrical system? I mean there is more than just the box it is in but does matter about size. When I heard the mags I was shitting myself. I have had many loud cars to date that have done over 150 and I wouldnt mind having a pair of them.

1.55cu ft sealed with solid 1000rms, you'll be hitting low 140s...i have mine sealed and it hurts.

I really think that mag will outperform the w7 with a bigger box.

I have 1000watts going to it, or around..hifonics are a tad overrated, but my bx1000d is down to 1ohm...i think the box is probably the main flaw. its loud don't get me wrong, just not what i expected

I thought that ported boxes were better for the lower frequency extension. That is the main reason i spent all the time making the ported box. SOmeone said i might be having cancelation issues? I do have the sub moving air out and the port moving air UP..i'm not sure how big of a deal this makes.

But anyways, a few of u guys now are saying sealed would fit me better for the extreme end..

All I know is my 2 12's in my trunk off a mere 300 RMS each were shaking my entire dash ~ a good 1/4" at 10-15hz and at 35hz they flex the windsheild a little... somehings wrong with your setup IMHO...

Ported 28 hz, ~70 in^2 of port in 5 cubes net.

that mag should get plenty loud, you need a new box in my opinion i seen how u had the port firing in that one pic, try firing the port and the sub in the same direction.

sealed will have the best LFE.

Your 12 should still hold its own down low. A quick look at any enclosure modeling program will show you that sealed only comes out on top after about 18 Hz on down compared to your current enclosure. Everything above that should be fine.

The only things I can think of are to check your tuning again, look at your subsonic filter if you have one, etc. Other than that, a single driver can't cure cancer. Expecting the kind of low-end that Tommy has (24 RE SE's -I think- sealed in a Nissan truck) out of a single driver just isn't going to happen.
