well i finally got around to makin some bus bars outta some aluminum flatbar i bought for like $8 at lowes a while back

on to the pics... keep in mind i dont have acess to a drill press so i had to work with what i had

this is what i got done with a drill, sidegrinder, and a tap kit...

and resting votage afterwards (i know 12.36 isnt great but its a pretty good improvement from the way it was before)

nothing wrong with it, but nothing spectacular about it so there's no commentary. How's the back of those busbars secured? are the bolts just going onto the top of the battery case?

Wow, 12.3 volts is really shitty. Even a crappy battery thats not cared for should still sit at 12.6 or better.

If I was you I would be throwing those batts on a trickle charge every night.

there is a nut epoxied to the case... the bolt screws into that... i know its not spectacular, just trying to make sure i didnt mess anything (i know its pretty straightfoward but you can never be too sure)

the batt will live... was on 12.9 when i got it, but it was in my civic (60 amp stock alt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif) the alt will be replaced thursday with a 150a high output

i bought it used ($90 shipped)... sat on 12.9, i threw it in my car since my factory batt just happened to die

it will go on a trickle charge during the nights the day my alt goes in
