Well I finally got the box for the Mach 5 built. Here is a few pics of the box. I wish I had step by step pics of the build by my camera was messed up. Anyways. The box is 3.5 cubes, tuned to 32 hz. Has an inch thick plexiglass front and a mirror in the back. also has 10 pink LEDS(the box is for my girlfriend). Right now i just painted it flat black. I will probably cover it with something else later on but for now the paint will do. I also hooked each voicecoil to its own terminal so you can changed up the ohm load on the fly. In the pics there is white silicone around the edge of the plexiglass, once it dries it will be clear. On with the pics

First, here is a couple pics of my woodworking shop. 4 table saws(the big one we named JAWS lol), planer, lathe, 3 chop saws, drill press, 2 routers and tons of other misc. woodworking tools. Definately everything you could need. Kinda messy tho.

Looks nice, hope she likes it. I would have cleaned up the silicone that oozed past the edges of the plexi though as it will still show, even though it's clear.

Maybe once it's dry pull the sub and peel it off with a razor knife...

Yeah, I was planning on scraping it with a razor. I used a putty knife to try to get it off but since it wasnt dry it was just making a bigger mess

OH,will that plexi effect the box at all? Like if i did a spl orientied box with a plexi glass front would that "hurt" the box than over using Mdf?
You would just have to make sure it is thick enough to not flex. With an inch thickness, it is just as sturdy is MDF.

Ok well i'm doing it with 2 Fi 15inch Bl's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Could i Slot the top and not ruin the look? or is their a reason you slotted the bottom? I was thinking slotting inbetween the 2 subs.
