that may be a challenge to other Mach5 owners //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

was in richmond, now in london. UK is too **** crowded.. what mach5 product was you considering?
I agree, UK is really big, don't know that I'd like it there. I go to Georgetown College, so I'm just 12 miles north. Partying at UK is fun and I have a few friends there, but don't think I could go there

I have a mach 5 spl 12" ... It gets ok loud... we metered it with just (2) SAZ1500's and with both wired to .5 it was only 1.X db louder than just 1 @ 1ohm, this was with no tuning and with a quick reference of 52 hz , we have a new box built to Mach 5 specs (3 cubes) with 2 4" aero ports and it seems quite louder to the ear although its nearly the same on the meter compared to my old box... this was with full port's however, none trimmed, so I can only assume its tuned lowwww... once we trim the ports up to mid 40's we will see what numbers it can put out...

edit:: Anything over 1500 rms daily is useless, I've been using single amp setup for about a week now and its nice, I'm most likely going to start a thread with pics of setup + numbers but only after the box is completly done (router edges + sand down corners) and we squeeze the most deebeez

because this is caraudio.com
but i thought we already went over this and everyone told you to go with Mach5 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
yeah thats why i got it. i just wanted to know what subs they are comparable too really. the customer service has already been awesome. mark helped me with box dimensions, tuning, power and other things.

There was a head to head thing done a while back that showed the mach 5 was even with RE MT, and beat out dd9500 + IA DP + some other woofer I forgot what it was... It also sounds pretty decent too, with a low tuning at ~3 cubes I would say it has "exaggerated low end output" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

do u have a link to this test?

i should get my sealed enclosure today so im really excited to hook everything up!! i will be making a ported box thanksgiving when i go home so that will be nice too. what exactly will a tuning of 30 sound like vs. 32 or 34? i have a single 10" if it makes a difference?

Here are some realities with the Mach 5 SPL that I have :

1. at 40 hz, in a 4.5 cubic foot box (yes, I know its huge), in a big *** dodge durango SUV and only a Autotek 1400 on it, it puts up a 140 at the headrest on music. This is without big 3 done, 4 gauge wire to the amp, and a Optima red top as a secondary battery. My girlfriend drives around with this every single day.

2. with the exact same enclosure, in the exact same car with 5,000 watts on the same sub - it pulls a 145. Remember, this is all in a vehicle thats just a daily driver with no sound deadening, no nothing. Just a box thrown in the back and the sub firing towards the rear.

3. She's been using this sub for over a year now as a "daily driver". NO issues. Sounds great and still puts up the exact same 140 every time.

Here is the exact sub, in my GF's old car (which got totaled, the SPL12 survived the wreck from behind). Let it show for itself -
