Idk if its weird, but I thought maybe that should have been a higher score... 2.5kw rms is a lot of power..

I did an install in a 2000 cavalier w. a re se 15 and 500 rms in a 3.5 cube box tuned LOw and it put up a 141. granted it had a little more cone area, but i would imagine the power would have made up for it.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

I also wonder if your measurements were taken at the kick vs. head. They're two totally different score situations.

Its all vehicle specific, anyone who competes regularlly would say the same thing. You cant just say "well its 2 db's less at the head" or "its 3 db's higher on the dash" because that would be a distortion of reality. Reality is, that its vehicle specific.

If your gonna measure spl, DBDRAG style is all I wanna know. 4 inches up from the dash and 12 over from the pilar.

Chad is correct, head measurements are harder to get louder at the head with. The reason I didnt measure it on the dash was my general lack of interest, coupled with the fact that I mainly compete in MECA classes that are measured at the headrest which are harder to get loud anyways.

I guess I need to buy a CRX just to do testing with and get a retardedly high and unreasonable score with just to give the sub a better review with then //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif I guess that way mark would be happier, but it would be a less likely real world situation....since I dont see many people bumping around town with their head shoved into the lower right corner of their windshield.

Meh, i sold my termlab before i tried to measure at the headrest....they needa get some Meca shows down south.....they seem like really fun comps,gotta go with usaci for now i guess
