how much power does it handle? i have heard people giving it 600 safely.

also what amp do you have powering it? i am looking for a new amp in a few weeks.

i was looking at a jbl 600.1

cerwin vega xl 600.1 (do not know how good these are)

or alpine mrp-m650

I've heard 500-600 is about as high as you'll need/want to go.

I had a pair in my old Buick for awhile.

I had them in 4 cu ft sealed total, so 2 cu ft a piece.

It was too small for them, you could really tell.

I had 500 rms / sub.

I don't think they would get any louder off anything higher, or would they safely handle them.

500 is plenty, for they got stupid loud off of that kind of power.

I would reccomend putting them in a vented box though.

These subs are very stiff and retain great sq.

And shIt, for the price, how the hell can you beat them?

what amp should i get under 175.

jbl 600.1- 600 rms at 2 ohm

Alpine MRP-M650- 600 rms at 2 ohm

MRD-M605- 600 rms at 2 ohm

MRP-M500- 500 rms at 2 ohm

Total Mobile Audio T500.1 -500 rms at 2 ohm

Crunch P1000.1 - 500 rms at 2 ohm

Kenwood KAC-8103D 500 rms at 2 ohm

or anything suggestions

i could get a mach 5 IXL-15 instead. what would you choose between maw 15 and the IXL

i want it to be loud.

I powered by MAW by a MRD-M605, and it was just enough power, any more and the sub wouldn't handle it.

Almost comical how people relate power handling with out put.

not saying that the OP is I have just notice a bad trend with it.
