MA Audio HK802SX 4400watt RMS

What is the point of having a car audio forum, when all people do is try to give out bad advice and be jerks. **** OFF. why waste everyones time?

As for the honest advice, thank you. i agree that the subs are rated at a lower power rating then the amp. But 90% of the amps are over rated and do not produce the power advertised. I know most people consider Crunch to be crap, and i know smaller better name amps can push my subs harder.

I also have a MA Audio 15" sub that can easily handle the power. I was not able to get a db reading on it before i replaced it with the L7s. And regardless what some of the poeple here think it sounded great when i had it hooked up before. I had two amps, one died, so i went to lower powered subs.

Besides the GP series, they are.

No it cannot.

110 dBs sounds right.

No it did not.

True.

Don't get the HK802SX. Short of the Funky Pup 9000.1, it is the worst, most inefficient amp I have ever seen.

The box is 5 cubic feet and sealed. and i know the amp is advertised at 3000watt max, but i can not find anywhere anything that states the RMS. I want to port the box, and get a better amp. How difficult is it to port a box? the kicker site recomends a 3.0-6.0cuft ported box for a single sub. So is my box way too small for my TWO subs? I cant seem to pull up the manual. but if i remember right they only give specs for square ports. I think round might be easier if i can salvage my current box.

I had 2 L7 15s a while back when they first came out in a 6F^3 sealed enclosure and i hit 151.6 on a termlab with no electrical upgrades besides a bandaid (cap) lol ! I was using 2 Directed 1100d amps (older style black and silver) it ws loud enough to flex the back of the cab in my dakota!!!! Causing the back window to shatter due to the fact the cab slammed into the bed and it was all over for the window:)

you could possibly port this setup, but it won't be optimum. a new enclosure will be the best fix.

if you had to try porting the current setup, two 4" round per sub. it'll drop displacement more, but if tuned around 36hz, your score should jump alot. you'll lose some low end, but gain the output. also, metal should sound pimp!

Yeah, it's funny to think that a sealed enclosure with only 2000 watts could possibly create enough internal pressure in the vehicle to cause enough flex to shatter a window. If there was enough flex it should break the window seal long before the window broke. Sounds more like there was another factor involved in the window shattering. I've seen plenty of windows break, and none were because of flexing, none were with a measly little 2000 watts and none were with a sealed box.
