MA AUDIO HK4000D or Autotek Mean Machine MM4000.1D

Im looking into purchasing one of these amps since my xa3000 is dead! They are both a little more power then I need for daily but I do hit up a few local comps here and there so I figured why not. I can get them both for about the same price. Do they do there rated power? Are they efficient? Good guality? ect.

Ma is rated at 17V so you will most likely never see that poweer from it.. althoug it is a very good amp for its price but I would go with the MM.. are these brand new and good priced? Autotek ftw man

as someone who's used both amps, I found the MM just slightly crappier than the MA HK. The reasoning is, that Autotek is only 2 ohm stable, while the HK board can have the impedience protection removed easily. The MA is new and $550 the Autotek is a factory refurb for about $500

Never seen spokes on a Camaro but I like it.. really tight

well, since my subs are D2's ill be running them wired to 2 ohm wich works out just fine. I dont plan on running either amp under its rated ohms since i belive this is why my XA3000 died. between the heat outside and running it .5 ohm daily

LOLS, i had never seen them on a camaro iether but i liked it, unfortunately they are sitting in storage now and i have some new rims on. they are just too hard to keep clean and i curbed 2 of them

the MM is 4000 x 1@2ohm or

2000 X 2@1ohm

Im not positive but it seems this amp is like having 2 2000watt @1ohm amps inside one case thats internally strapped at 4000watts x1 at 2 ohm. someone what to verify this or am i way off base here?

yes, that's why you can't strap two MM4000.1D's together.

I would still get the Autotek, not a refurb though.

I can't afford a new one at this time, I have now spent close to 4000 dollars on my car and car audio in the last month

I did however just order the autotek for 513 shipped, should be here next week.

I have bought refurb items and have never had a problem so hopefully the same will apply here.

well it says: Manufacturer Refurbished by Maxxsonics to Like-NEW condition and fully loaded

so hopefully i wont have any problems
