As for you 1mtx1, Digi read outs are useless. Why would you even bother with one?? that amp is very stressful to a stock electrical system, so if you have a factory alt. and/or batt. and dont plan on upgrading, try looking into some other amplifier.

Some guys recomended that hifonics, those might work.

every review that i read the people say they cant really turn there radios up and amp past midd setting or the amp gets so hot . i do thank every one and i am doing my best to search the net for a amp. there is so many amps and there all pretty much around the same price. well the ones im looking at is.

I run the 4000d's so I would say I know about the HK line a little.As for your knowledge it lacks a little.Just because the gain isn't cranked to max doesn't mean your not getting full power from the amp.That is why you set them with a DMM to know exactly what the amp is set to.As for the amp getting hot that is because they are clipping the living shit out of it.I run mine all day and they don't get over 130.

are you wanting to run 17 volts? And if you are worried about it not working after 4 days buy it from a shop and get a warranty.

im gona do the big 3 with 0 and run a yellow top or somthing close to it or better. and i was gona order a ho alt 200 amps up to like 10 min ago .Im here to just do the big 3 and get a good battery up front. im gona run 1600 rms to 4 12s . if the volt drops are bad i will just buy the alt.

i dont know if i wana 17.0 volts its just what i gota do to reach the max output right of the amp. that whats got me conufused. at 14.0 its 1500 rms at 1 ohm

You don't need 17v.Just get a good battery up front and maybe a second in the back or the HO whichever you prefer.

the digital read out on my hk-802sx is off by a whole volt what my DMM said right at the input terminal is 15.5V what it says on the amp is 14.5v¿¿¿ im kinda confused and the temp on mine goes up into the 150s but i also have a A/B amp not a D like the 4000. the light and display on it is ok but really just a waste IMO. ive had great luck with hifonics the BXi2006D i had i clamped at 1912wrms @ 13.6v they will do rated at 14.4v im sure. thats b4 i went 15v so i never knew the total wattage that could have been achived

thanks im gona do a good battery up front with the big 3 and run 0 ga power wire to a block and 4 ga to my amp. i just hope after i run this i dont see drops in the high 10 or low 11 at idle. cuz im seeing 12.2 at idle with my lights on with just 600 rms running. no big 3 and 4 ga power run to a block and 4 out. and i gota stock motorcraft 550 cranking amp batt

yea i would do big three and new batt. If that doesnt work maybe a new alt. would be appropriate. If voltage drop is a big concern try to find a very efficient amp

ma is a good amp , better know what you are doing or you will fry it. the digital read outs are ok but i don't think they are accurate. if you give the ma audio amps enough juice and voltage you have a lot of power. they aren't very efficient but they get the job done. i had my hk401sx to 4 12s at .5 ohms and probably did around 2kw from it. again better have voltage and reserve capacity, are they better then hifonics ?, no but they do make more power with the right voltage

My read out is off by .2-.4v but I always have a DMM so I don't really rely on it except maybe to tell an approx. reading.

And yeah those A/B high currents will get warm.But its a whole different amp.

Hifonics 2008's aren't that bad either.I would recommend them.

i had 1400 rms with stock batt. and no big 3. I get a very slight drop 1 volt as most but I do have a truck with a big battery and I think bigger alternator

and ur talking bout getting a hk2000D and ur electrical is getting beat on that hard. say bye bye to that amp if ur planing on running it with elctrical like that. u despratly gonna need a H/O alt and couple batts for real or ur just gonna blow out the power supply on that HK. thats a common under powering prob they have.
