Anyone ever bench this amp? I hear most MA amps are overrated but I like them anyway. I was planning on getting this amp to power 2 12" Memphis PR's and was wondering if it did anywhere over 400 watts @ 4 ohms.. ANd also, would I be better off getting an MA HK800D and run it at 2 ohms since its rated at 800 watts at 17v and my car does 14.4v? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/help.gif.cee8f684da1ba626487a8bc51152e1ec.gif

I'm looking for like 450-500 watts. SHould I run the HK800D or the 1889i, I know the 1899i is the entry level amp but I don't need anything big, just something that'll give my subs RMS and be pretty reliable for daily driving.

have you looked in to a 2000D? i have one and i run two 12's and i have no complaints. the 800D is about the same price and this amp has a lil more poewr and its strappable. you may wanna upgrade some day.

I've seen prices for the 800D on ebay around 170, while the 2000d is around 350, thats a big diff...

I work with the shop around here with ma stuff, they recently installed a hk800d onto a single 15" XE and personally IMO its a great amp, not super, super powerful, but then again I'm used to a 4000D lol. It's been running in the guys honda for quite some time now...
