I've owned... and used almost EVERY market sub available...

... Yeah I talk about MA subs alot because I know them. considering they are included in my daily system.

I mean I haven't owned the RE MT, XXX series or a DD 9500, Mach subs... but Treos, MTXs, Kickers, JL, JBLs, Eclipse, PG, Fusion, Memphis, RF, Bazooka, pioner (premier), RE SX, SE... I've owned and used... I'm not saying that MA is better than All of those... But I know what they're capable of, and I'm gonna defend them when they are being knocked on.

Soo, What else would you like to know Terra?

And nissankicker, im with ya, i have had alot of memphis, kicker, RE, Atomic, pioneer,alpine,hypnotic,massive,mtx,rockford,lightning audio(the tc 3hp version things), and alot of ma audio subs and amps, and i still like there products, look at the price at memphis m3 mojos, around $350-400new each for the 12s, and i paid that for both of my hk12x2s, and in the first week i blew the dust caps off the mojos, and did a direct sub swap in my durango, with a hk4000d, superpro bass box, just changed the subs out and the hk12x2s hit harder than the mojos did, for 1/2 the price, and took that power, like it was nothing, and i even clipped them, and they still took the power, out of the hk4000d @ 2ohms!!! So im sold on the hk12x2s, and like i said if they had 10s i would of bought them instead of my AQ hdc3s!!!

You've owned a bunch of subs not aimed at high end spl systems? bazooka? im sure ma will pound compared to a RF....

the local shop was demoing a set of MA's...i think the model number was the same as the one the other guy supporting MA said..the 12"s. ya they got decently loud but they sounded like ***. power acoustik subs will get loud...doesnt mean theyre good subs. have you owned any real spl subs? btl's, mt's, big treo's, dd's, IA's, aq's, lms ultra? have you heard these subs? that would be nice before pushing ma's constantly in comparison to big spl subs

I've heard the Fi BTLs... They are impressive.

... My 1st cousin ( Close cousin ), has (2) 18" Treo SSXs... And the bang, but they lack range...

Every sub you mentioned i've heard, seen, and have observed.

I owned a 15" Treo CSX and sold it for $200, cause it's sloppy. 12" DD 3500d GREAT! no complaints... Just wanted something different.

Me, personally, I'm not gonna spend $600+ on 1 sub that'll take 2500wrms+ just b/c someone says it's the best out/best they've heard.... Or I saw (1) sub hit 150...

... I'll spend $400 on (2) subs, that'll hit 150 ( More cone area )... cause it has a better chance.

I mean:

(14) 10s hit 149.5 @ Import Tuner

(2) 15 DD 3500s hit 149.6

(6) 15 Quantum Audio's hit 144.8

(3) 12" SONY hexagon shaped subs hit 143.2 ( Are you serious )

HAHAHA... Doesn't matter on how HIGH on SPL a sub is... Sony is walmart... hell, so is Pioneer. But look @ the numbers.

You have a good point Terra, but seeing that you've NEVER competed, and I quote you " Don't have the desire too "... just cause the sub isn't a " HIGH END SPL " sub, doesn't mean its not gonna do the job.

And that was just a list of subs worked with.

Kicker - Love it, stayed with them for a LONG time

I'll put the durability of my MA x2s up against MOST subs out there.

Instead I decided to run (2) 8v batteries for my system alone... Since it was brought to me that my amp would most likely fry @ 24v...

no doubt im sure they get loud. but would you honestly enjoy hearing 3 sony (explodes?) im assuming daily? idc if they hit 170db...ive never heard them sound like anything other than ***. the MT's get **** low..have nice range and play ridiculously hard. as well as being able to take more power than imaginable lol. now im not in any way putting ur subs down, because im sure they get loud. i just prefer having a sub that not only gets loud but sounds great doing it. hence the 2 15" TC-3k's on 3800rms going in my car this weekend.
