LPF settings...

Should be subsonic not LPF...I'm a tired retard!

I asked this a couple days ago and didn't get many responses so maybe everyone's a little livelier tonight. I am wiring up the amp tomorrow and setting everything. I know how to set the gains and what not, but for a 34hz tuned ported box, where do I want to set my subsonic. I read a good buit of the ported/sealed enclosure sticky and have a good understanding of how the port works and the purpose. I know that I do not want to set it too low so i don't hurt the sub, but where should the Subsonic be set? Another poster said about 10 hz below so around 24hz. Is that too low? A little more input would be great. I want to get the most out of the sub without damaging it!

The LPF cuts off the frequencies above it's setting. So if you set it to 24hz, it'll cut off any frequency above 24hz, of course with a slope.

You should set it to what the sub isn't made for playing. If it's tuned to 34hz, I don't imagine it'll have much output over 70-80hz, where your midbass should come into play, so I'd say set it to 70 or 80hz.

What you're thinking of, in your post, is the subsonic filter. That cuts off anything below it's setting, which 10hz under your box tuning is a good setting for.
