Low Voltage

I recently installed, 2 Amps, one 400 watt, and one 800 watt into a 99 Dodge Ram with a buddy of mine, which may be the problem in itself.

The 400 Watt Amp has no problems it is pushing the 6 1/2 Infiniti speakers.

The 800 Watt Amp is pushing the subs, but it says Low Voltage on the amp. I tryed grounding it on several different locations, still not working. I ran the power straight to the amp, instead of out of the splitter(Not too sure what it's called, but it split the power from the battery, to each amp.) Still nothing. Anyone know why I am getting the Low Voltage signal, and what I need to do to fix this? Thank you in advance, I will try to answer any questions about this, that will help fix the problem as well.

Could be several reasons. What gauge wire are you running back to your distrobution block (the thing that splits the power to the amps) and what gauge comes off the distro block to the amps. What kind of battery do you have in your truck and is there all good connections? Make sure there is no corrosion going on on the battery terminals. Basically you just want to look at all your connections before you go start buying stuff. Atleast thats my motto.

definatly check all the terminals...then you might want to check your battery...to see how many volts your battery is putting out...

I am not sure the guage on the wire. I bought the 1400 watt Amp wiring kit from Wal-Mart. there is no corrison on the battery. I am not sure what the battery size is. I checked all the connections.

I was told that the AMP was used to push tower speakers in a boat. Someone told me, that could of fryed the amp the tower speakers. Is that possible?
