Low voltage at 12v acc source

After I was re-installing my 8454 something happened where I lost voltage from my 12v acc source. I have a 2000 Nissan altima and am using a shosche wiring harness. I have everything hooked up as it should. Right now I just have the acc connected to the power source(red) and it turns on fine, just loses my presets, settings, etc.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for your time,

Darren

If you dont have the yellow(12v constant) connected, you will lose your memory and presets everytime you shut off the car. You need to have the acc and constant wires hooked up(yellow and red).

I checked the audio fuse and it wasn't blown. Should I try taking out the fuse and putting it back in? I know sometimes that works. Right now my yellow( constant) isn't getting the voltage it needs so my headunit won't even turn on. When I connect the red and yellow together on the battery source I get the power I need so it turns on. I know I will loose all of my settings this way, I'm trying to figure out a way to fix it.

Thanks for the replies,

Darren

How would I wire up a relay? That would be my last resort if I can't figure it out. I have tried checking the pins of the wiring harness, they seem to be ok. I am going to try to splice the connection before the harness just to see if that works. If nobody else has any better options.

Thanks guys for all the quick responses.

If you are not getting power to the yellow wire than you have blown a fuse. This is not going to be your radio fuse and is usually found in the fuse box under the hood.
Not always. I had this problem were the wire itself became shorted but the fuse was good. So I instead ran a wire from the fuse to the radio and used that as my ACC wire. But first check the fuse. If the fuse is good then run a new ACC wire.

if it was a blown fuse he would be getting no power could be a short though.
Thats not always true either. I have seen partially blown fuses pass voltage.

And he also said he isnt getting any power on the yellow wire which means that is most likely a blown fuse.
