Low Pass Filter...

Hey all! I have spent alot of time tweeking my system to get it to were I want it. This forum has helped immensely. Well I was playing with the LPF on my head unit, had it set to 80hz and changed to 100hz. I have done this all before but tonight when I was driving home the bass respone I got from the change was wonderful. I was left kind of scratching my head. I was a little worried i would get some muffle or distortion. This was not the case. I still wonder why it would sound so good tonight when I have went through this before??
