low output from speakers then volume spike?

ok so i installed my speakers but the left side has been working funny. the right is always fine, but the left sounds significantly weaker. the amp im using is bridged, but the gains are matched. what happens is the sound seems weaker/quieter coming from the left, but every once in a while, it goes to normal volume for a minute or two and then goes back to being weak. I wiggled the wiring and it does not seem that anything has a bad connection. When I did hold the wires tho, the volume did get louder more often, but the connections all look solid. I did tighten one lead on the crossover that was loose, and I thought it was fixed until i put the door back on and drove around for a bit, where it started it again.

You bridged a two channel amp to one channel? Thats a no-no.

What kind of amp, speakers and HU are you using?

bridged a 4 channel into 2 (technically 5 channel, one for the sub). amp is a kicker 700.5, speakers are boston z6's, and hu is eclipse 7301

tried reversing phase on the weaker set?

reversing phase did not work, it was correct the first way. anyone else? I don't get what the crap is going on. could it be the amp?
