low draw amps

Yes, you are reading that right:laugh: My fuse pops every run, but I'm still able to do a 148.x off a 30A fuse. I lose about 2 dB due to running a single fuse. No, amps tend to get more efficient as you raise the load because the amount of work they have to do decreases. I think the amps are rated for 3200 @ 4 ohms strapped or something like that.
what class are you in?

I'm guessing you've never heard of MECA:laugh:
When I was doing SPL a few years ago local, the private comps either went by inches or total RMS wattage of sub amps.

Which was funny, because 15's dominated the 0-15 class, and there was no hope for the twin 8 setups in the 16-24.

I ran a rewound Sharp home subwoofer with twin 1ohm coils. My little HC-50 would slam it. But then, the meter favored you more than today by far.

My old single sub kit would bust 155 on the dash legal, but on today's TL mics, it probably wouldn't break a 140.

Last year the class was 0-750, and unlimited # of fuses. I did a 151.8 last year, and am going to work towards a 150 this year. I hit a 151 with my Type R 15 during KY State Finals. Too bad my sub is about to blow up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
