Lovin' this 4th order

had a bunch of orion band pass boxes more than 20 yrs ago sold a bunch too.. some were ok but like with lots of boxes sounded better in diff cars.. 1 guy had a xtr 12 sounded like 2 15's coming from a mile away it was crazy but some of the 10's sounded like 8's..

just saying most i've seen (except for ones with plexi front) they stick the basket in the sealed side
This is mounted with magnet in vented side... sub mounted from sealed side with removeable panel. It's only 1.18ft3 sealed or so but that's what it took to keep excursion under control in Winisd. Lotta port too, I was lookin' for peakiness and efficiency between 40-60hz... seems like I got a little more low end than I expected. I'm pleased with the result for a single 750 watt 15" sub.

Ghetto amp rack...

Lol... still gotta get that secondary AGM

looks great.. they say fu does well in 4th order.. if it tuned at 48hz and plays down to high 20's how high would it play?, aren't the freqs they play more narrow than reg ported?
It's all about the sealed to ported ratio. The ratio, the volumes of each chamber and the port tune of the ported side create the shape of the pass band or the width and ripple of the response curve.

The 4th order has a slow roll off like a sealed box. Cabin gain helps out big time as well. BBP does a decent job of predicting it and you can pick where the 12db/oct kicks in, I can't go back to Winisd because it's no where near close on anything below 50hz because it can't add cabin/room gain.

SAs do very well in 4ths. Looks like well done box. And..... wangin at the gramps ohm. Lolz

I'm not sure whether to cry or smile... 2 ohm... but its a 750 watt sub ... and really I'm likin the output.

Probably cry when its at 144.9db... not even 145... lol... I'm hopin it'll do at least that.

SA has basically been the best 2.5" sub for almost a decade, and with good reason. Ppl tend to abuse them, i certainly have. But ive also had good luck with them even on 4-500w

Yeah... I'm sure the coils are getting a little warm with me at the helm. But they're hangin tough and I'm being vigilant. Wed I'll try to meter the thing to see if my ear-o-meter is accurate... lol

It's not tuned real high lol could be in 30s or maybe 42 at the highest

is this a ported enclosure or a 4th order? If 4th and tuned to 33hz, unless specifically designed to do that, it wont have any bandwidth. It might...

I’m going to stick with the 4th order bandpass for now and see if it can improve it. The bandpass actually plays 100 rebased songs good.

I'd try rear facing. Have you tried opening the trunk to see if that restores your bass?
