Loudest single 12 and under setup

I can't remember his name, but I recall an Asian guy (maybe?) with a white CRX at the 2010 USACI World Finals doing over 165 with a 12" sub being measured at the Kickpanel. I think he was doing over 160 on music. Seemed like a really cool guy, but he was pretty secretive, so I don't know much about his system, just that it's on less than 1,000 watts.

understood. my point is - asking what sub is the loudest is pointless and meaningless.
the vehicle and the installation determine how loud you will be - not what brand you have printed on the sub.

Thanks you! These threads don't really teach anyone anything... There is a reason when anyone these kinds of threads, loudest 12, loudest trunk cars, etc, you see the same stuff pop up.. If it's trunk cars it's always someone with a cavalier. Small subs it's always "this guy with the crx".. Then if you want to compound the problem, the thread starters want setups loud on "music".. Define music? Plenty of cars burp cars can play "music" and be loud.. Lots of nasty sounding super high peaking 55-65hz rap songs out there.. If you want something that really sounds good on music it's not going to be that peaky, and if it is, it won't be peaky up high near the main resonances of the car, instead it'd be lower near 30hz...

60 in a rex is pretty rare - and waaaaaay more than 1k to do it.

This thread wasn't for brands it was to see an average of scores people have gotten with single 12's and under without fart boxes. No I do not think considering a car only being able to play to 50hz as a music car. I am asking for cars with proper installs and boxes that can play the spectrum of 25-80hz. Honestly I understand where you come from but, I don't think you understand where the op (me) in this case is coming from.

I am positive it's on less than 1,000. I really don't know much about his system though, he had everything blacked out and under wraps. I think @pro\-rabbit; was there as a judge, he might remember who I am speaking of. Though even as a judge if a competitor wants to keep it secret, I think Dustin still may not be able to say what he was running.
