Pioneer APP2 vs 3400-AVH-BT?

I am looking to get a new unit to replace my Clarion NX 500 who's processor crashed recently after I bought it, not worth the cost to fix it.

The 2 units that seem to be the best are the Pioneer's APP 2 stereo, and the 3400-AVH-BT the price range of 300 - 450

The APP2 has the main feature I am looking for is for the unit to work with the android. Yet the reviews on it are

more mixed more than any other I've seen.

3400 seems like a great unit all around. Aside from it not working with the Android it seems like a quality purchase.

I wanted to get some opinions from you guys who have a lot more experience and knowledge. Have any of you used the APP2 stereo?

What unit would you go with between the two?

The ppl I know that have played with the app2 were not impressed. I have installed several avhp3400bt and they are pretty good.
