louder sub

that has nothing to do with how loud it will play. the different cone materials are used to achieve various weights, stiffness, and aesthe tic requirements that the builder or manufacture is looking for. by itself it doesn't amount to a hill of beans.

IMO

The kryptonite is extremely light and actually energizes the area around the cone actually making teh sub louder because the air molecules are charged.

Actually, cone does make a difference. The weaker, the less bass response it can handle due to the pressure it's creating...

But from experience, I had a pair of CDT EF-61FG (Fiberglassed cones) comps, and when they blew I grabbed a pair of EF-61's (Kevlar cone, IIRC) and the FG's produced a much better sound quality and bass response.
