Loud single cab systems

I have my old system from my town car that I refuse to sell, was installed for a week then the car died. Anyways my new project is a 98' K2500 Chevy bought from the state, I'm currently rebuilding the motor but once thats done I plan on installing 2 MAW-15s with a Proifle Cali 2000W amp 480x2 rms. I plan on doing a blowthrough setup. I plan on building a heavy duty tool box like box to house the amps and sub box and then a rubber or something seal bolted to the cab and bed. I expect it's going to be very loud... will definatly post pics when I get around to it and some warm weather.

cool beans, since were bringing this thread back from the dead, i recently bought a hdc3 12 dual 2 planning on sticking it on a sundown 1500 in my standard cab, 2 cubes at 38hz, should be considerably louder than the rockford p1 15 on 200w lol

Old thread but who cares.

The thing about a regular cab is you want to get it loud as possible, without giving up any leg room. The only way to do this is run 4 8's or two 10's. Both will sound **** good. A regular cab will only give you about 1.2 cubic feet without giving up leg room. Thats bottom depth 8 top depth 5 inches. Anything over that you giving up leg room.

Here's my project... I started in the 130s. My goal is to be above mid 150s. Here is where I'm at so far:

Everything behind the seat on the truck

Vehicle: 1989 Chevy standard cab truck

Electrical System: Group 31 under the hood, nsb90 in back

Amplifier: RD Audio D9

Subwoofer(s): (2) RE SX12s (one with a scratching coil)

Box: 2 cu ft w/ 66 sq in of port (made for (2) 10" subs, retrofitted for the 12"s)

Song/Tone Played: 51 hz

The result:

There is nothing in the truck now. I'm starting all over again with the knowledge I've gained so far. As a matter of fact I have some new subs that just got to my house while I was typing this at work:) My new amp shouldn't be too far behind //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
